This past September, (2016), I received a vision, that I am still praying about. I saw Donald Trump with his hands clenched, his arms straight down at his sides, and his body leaning forward. There was a stern and determined expression on his face. He was following close behind a younger man, dressed in a suit, with his blonde hair parted on the side and slicked down. The scene depicted "discipline." Trump was determined to use his authority to bring about discipline to this individual.
This vision was given about two months before the election. I knew that God was going to use Trump as an instrument in his hands, to bring discipline to our nation.
"No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteous and peace for those who have been trained by it." Hebrews 12:11
"My son, do not make light of the Lord's discipline, and do not lose heart when he rebukes you, because the Lord disciplines those he loves, and he punishes everyone he accepts as a son." Hebrews 12:5-6
I believed that the younger man represents both government and business. I believe, that Trump will to be used to change the way we conduct business in the Congress, the Senate and Wall Street. It will have far reaching effects, because the changes will affect everyone. There may very well be difficult times ahead. But, the end result, as God would see it, is that it produces a harvest of righteous and peace - both of which we have great need of in this nation.
I am still in prayer over this, but I see another possible meaning to the vision. The younger man in the vision, seems to resemble Putin, smaller in stature than Trump, having light colored, slicked down hair, and wearing a business suit. Trump is following behind him, determined to have his way. I believe that God may use Trump to bring disciplinary action to Russia, in the form of sanctions. Russia, under Putin's command, has demonstrated aggressive behavior by using military power to annex Ukrainian territory to Russia; by bombing hospitals and convoys bringing humanitarian relief to Syria, and by (possibly) attempting to interfere with the US elections. God has not yet confirmed this - I am still in prayer.
I believe that everyone should be praying for Trump, the Senate, the Congress, and the Supreme Court, as well as all those who have an advisory position to Trump. Pray for God's will to be done. Pray for the Holy Spirit to lead and guide our nation, and pray that we, as the church, will follow God's call.
"If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven. I will forgive their sin and heal their land." 2 Chronicles 7:14
Pray for mercy and salvation for those who do not know the Lord. And peace be with you all!
