Shake the Dust Off Your Feet!

Hi Friends,

So much is happening around us. Whatever is hidden in darkness, the Lord is revealing! Hallelujah! Although by revealing these wicked things, they may cause us alarm. But now that they are exposed and being exposed, we can pray effectively. We will see that the Lord’s will will be done on this earth as it is in heaven!

Just yesterday, I received two visions that I want to share with you.  

The Visions

In the first vision, I saw a single shoe that was upside down so that the sole of the shoe faced upward.  I could see that it was a man’s black soled shoe with a ⅝” short flat heel.  The shoe would have been for the right foot.  Its sole was covered in dust.

The scripture that came to mind as I saw the vision was this:

“When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases, and he sent them out to proclaim the kingdom of God and to heal the sick.  He told them: ‘Take nothing for the journey—no staff, no bag, no bread, no money, no extra shirt.  Whatever house you enter, stay there until you leave that town.  If people do not welcome you, leave their town and shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.’  So they set out and went from village to village, proclaiming the good news and healing people everywhere.”  Luke 9:1-6

A shoe in the visions the Lord has given me generally represents a person’s walk with the Lord.  The shoe in the vision is for the right foot, which I believe means that the person who wore this shoe was a righteous God-fearing man.  But because my view was not right side up, but upside down, I believe that it indicates that the man it represents is no longer “upright.”

Because the sole of the shoe was covered with a layer of dust, I believe this shows that rather than shaking off the dust of those who rejected the message of the kingdom of God, he has allowed the dust to remain.  This I believe points to having made a compromise with the world.    

As I continued to pray about the vision, I asked the Lord to show me something in the Bible that  would help me understand more completely.  I opened the Bible to 1 Timothy 3 with the heading: “Overseers and Deacons.”  This portion of scripture describes what character traits are to be found in men who are to be considered for leadership roles in the church:

“The saying is trustworthy: If anyone aspires to the office of overseer, he desires a noble task.  Therefore an overseer must be above reproach, the husband of one wife, sober-minded, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not a drunkard, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money.  He must manage his own household well, with all dignity keeping his children submissive, for if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he care for God's church?  He must not be a recent convert, or he may become puffed up with conceit and fall into the condemnation of the devil.  Moreover, he must be well thought of by outsiders, so that he may not fall into disgrace, into a snare of the devil.  

 1 Timothy 3:1-13

In the vision, the shoe was covered in dust.  Whoever owned the shoe was not following the directions that the Lord gave to his disciples: “shake off the dust on your feet as a testimony against them.”    

The dust represents the people in that town, their thoughts, beliefs, ideologies etc.  To shake the dust off one’s feet is the appropriate response when the message of the kingdom of God is rejected.  Anyone who rejects the Lord Jesus as God, and does not accept the good news of the kingdom of God, is rejecting the opportunity for eternal salvation.  But, the kingdom of God must advance.  So we are not to hold onto an offense, or become discouraged.  We are to pick ourselves up, shake off the dust and get going.  We keep our eyes on the Lord.  

Jesus made it a point to teach the disciples about the difference between loving and serving the Lord God, and loving the world.  For the Lord said, 

“Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.  For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.”   1 John 2:15-17 

Everyone will choose for themselves whether to follow the world and its values or to follow the Lord as his disciple.  If we are faithful to Him, we must expect that the world will oppose us.

“If the world hates you, understand that it hated Me first.  If you were of the world, it would love you as its own.  Instead, the world hates you, because you are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world.”  John 15:18-19

The disciples were true to the Lord, and followed his instructions.  They announced the kingdom of God.  They healed the sick and drove out demons.  They were a blessing to everyone who would receive them.  Of course there were those who loved sin, and preferred their own ways to those of God, so they refused to listen.  When confronted with rejection, the disciples followed the Lord’s direction: “shake the dust off your feet as a testimony against them.”

The Gospel of Matthew describes a similar occasion when the Lord sent out the twelve disciples:

These twelve Jesus sent out with the following instructions: “Do not go among the Gentiles or enter any town of the Samaritans.   Go rather to the lost sheep of Israel.   As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’   Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

“Do not get any gold or silver or copper to take with you in your belts—  no bag for the journey or extra shirt or sandals or a staff, for the worker is worth his keep.  Whatever town or village you enter, search there for some worthy person and stay at their house until you leave.  As you enter the home, give it your greeting.   If the home is deserving, let your peace rest on it; if it is not, let your peace return to you.   If anyone will not welcome you or listen to your words, leave that home or town and shake the dust off your feet.  Truly I tell you, it will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.

“I am sending you out like sheep among wolves. Therefore be as shrewd as snakes and as innocent as doves.”  Matthew 10:1-16

In this passage, the twelve disciples were to not to take even a pair of sandals, and if anyone would not welcome them or listen to what they had to say, the Lord told them again to “shake the dust off your feet.”  And he speaks of a judgment against them:  “It will be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.”   

So the dust on the shoe represents the world and the world’s values.  For the world is in direct opposition to God.  Anyone who begins with the Lord, and then experiences rejection should take heart that the Lord has overcome the world and move on with him.  If instead, someone experiences rejection or persecution and does not shake the dust (the world view) off his shoes, he begins to compromise.  He no longer wants to share the gospel, or to do anything for the Lord for fear of being rejected once again.  He would rather go along with the world rather than to separate from it and stand up for his faith in God.  This opens a door for the devil to play havoc with his life.

“He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters.”  Matthew 12:30

We cannot be concerned about what our friends, family and the “important” people in our lives think about us.  If we choose to please them rather than God we commit spiritual suicide.

“If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his father and mother and wife and children and brothers and sisters—yes, even his own life—he cannot be My disciple.  And whoever does not carry his cross and follow Me cannot be My disciple.”  Luke 14:26-27   

This vision of the shoe is a warning to all in the church.  We need to get our walk with the Lord right - right now!  The Lord is coming back for a church without spot or wrinkle.  We cannot afford to compromise with the world.

I would like to share an example or two. My son years ago, went to church with me several times a week. He was only five or six at the time. One day he saw what my husband and my older son were watching on television and discussing. My little guy came up to them and told them quite plainly that what they were doing was not right in the eyes of the Lord. My husband came down on him and told him to mind his own business! This was devastating to him, for he could see that the one he looked up to was clearly in the wrong, and he was being rebuked for doing what was right. Even though my son was only five or six at the time, he is like many new believers who become zealous for the Lord and are met with opposition.

New believers, “young in the Lord,” will certainly find resistance to the message of the gospel and will either be able to overcome adversity and move on, or they will feel the rebuke of the world or the rejection of an “important” person in their lives and lose their faith.

I have seen this happen with women who profess to love the Lord, read the word and go to church. Many times they become involved in a new romance, and do not immediately share the gospel and their faith with this new love, but hide it from him for fear that he will reject it. Because of their fear of rejection by the man, they turn away from God and stop going to church. Because they failed to stand up for their faith in the Lord, they also fail to stand against the desires of their own flesh. They succumb to the desires a man in preferrance to their Lord who bought them with his own blood.

This is certainly the worst compromise. They have aligned themselves with the values of the world and have embraced the fear of man rather than the fear of God. If we are not totally committed to our Lord, we will sell our faith for a shallow relationship. We should reflect on this scripture:“What does it profit a man to gain the world but lose his soul?” Mark 8:36 A woman should ask herself, “What does it profit a woman to gain a man but lose her Lord?”
We cannot allow the dust of compromise with the world to settle on us.

I want to share one more insight regarding this vision. It has to do with the church. As the woman in my example desired companionship to such a degree, that she compromised her faith, the church does the same thing. Some churches desire to grow in membership, to such an extent, that rather than staying true to the Lord, they begin to compromise with the world. To attract people, these churches begin to change, to adapt to the culture, styles and trends of the businesses and clubs around them. Their leaders takes cues from the world by wearing sexy, cool, stylish clothing. Women pastors and leaders wear high heels, tight jeans and a “cute” jacket. Men ditch the suit and tie and wear form fitting shirts and tight pants. They choose expensive shoes and the latest in wearable technology.

One church advertises “Killer Worship!” Who are they trying to impress? Does the Lord want “killer worship?” Are they hoping that people will come church as excited as they would to a rock concert? Who are they trying to please? God or man?

I saw that another church had a slogan: “A Friendly Church with a Friendly Message.” Again, are they sharing the truth of the gospel message, or are they trying to be seeker friendly? Are they about pleasing God or filling their pews with people and their coffers with money? Some churches are all about money and about “success” as the world sees them. Their motives are wrong.

“And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.” 2 Peter 2:3

Without the truth of the Gospel and without the conviction of sin by the Holy Spirit, no one will feel the need to repent. There can be no salvation without first having godly sorrow over sin, and having a deep desire to be right with God. The gospel means “good news.” But there are those who find it offensive. We must be true to the gospel and not waterdown the Lord’s teachings so as to attract people who only want a ticket to heaven, but have no desire to live for him.

“And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.”

John 3:19-21

True believers “see the light.” They want to walk in that light. People who treat the Lord as creator, but fail to make him their Lord, (boss), do not want to change their ways. They are content with their worldly lives and their material possessions. Without a changed, born again, Spirit filled heart, they will remain in the dark. But the word declares that “Now is the day of salvation.” 2 Corinthians 6:2

Now is the day to make a genuine commitment to the Lord to walk with him in the light.

So - Let’s shake off the dust and get going!  Let’s follow Jesus!

Another Vision: “Stop!”

In the second vision, I saw a bare leg bent at the knee, and lifted high with the foot flexed.  It was ready to stomp down.  The foot came down powerfully when suddenly, I heard a voice yell, “STOP!”  It was then that I saw a baby all bundled up in a cozy blanket sleeping on his side with his head facing me.  He looked angelic, unaware of what could have happened.

This is a warning vision to remind us, the Church, that the situation regarding abortion is far from over.  The enemy wants to destroy life in the womb and outside the womb.  We have had decades of federalized legal abortion across every state, and now the Supreme Court has made its decision to interpret the Constitution as it was written! According to the Constitution, anything that is not specifically mentioned in the Constitution, was to be left up to the states. So now each state can determine for itself whether to allow or ban abortion. We must pray that the states will choose to ban abortion as it is murder, the killing of an unborn child. I believe that there is a curse over our land because of the 63 million abortions that have ended the lives of our children. We pray that the Lord will remove this curse over our land and that our nation will return to its position under the authority of Almighty God.

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” Psalm 33:12

Wickedness in our nation has greatly increased over the last few years because our leaders and our people have partnered with the devil, the great deceiver and killer.  Jesus spoke of the devil  in regards to the rulers of his day, the Pharisees:  

“Why do you not understand what I am saying? It is because you are unable to accept My message.  You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out his desires. He was a murderer from the beginning, refusing to uphold the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, because he is a liar and the father of lies.”  John 8:43-44     

The devil is a murderer.  He has no love for anyone.  He is wicked to the core and he wants to destroy everyone and everything. And he uses people to do his dirty work.  We have never seen such organized and unified wickedness as is today in our nation and around the world. We see this wickedness play out in our government, in concert with the large corporations, and the global elites.  

We thank the Lord that he is raising up God-fearing men and women in various places of leadership who are trying to expose the deeds of darkness and restrain wickedness.  And this is also the work of the church, to stand in faith and pray that for all fifty states will ban abortion and hold the line against wickedness, corruption and the attacks to our Constitution.  The 2030 Agenda of the United Nations and the global elites, and their Build Back Better plan has our current administration working with them in unison. The desire for a one world government and a one world order is causing great harm to the world’s population. They intented to control and manipulate information, energy and the food supply. Their primary goal is to reduce and control the poplulation of the earth.

Just as they used the virus to lockdown small businesses and control people, they are emboldened to use “climate change” to justify the power grab, and the land grab around the world.  China, and the wealthy elites are buying up farm land. The leaders of nations are pushing the “green new deal” so as to bankrupt farmers, and buy their land for pennies on the dollar. They are already speaking plainly about their goals to use food to control the masses.  There is tremendous push back in Europe as I am writing this.  Every life is in jeopardy as the production of food is being undermined by these globalists.  

The control and manipulation of people through food has already begun in this nation, by first creating a baby formula shortage. This was a perfectly demonic plan implemented by the government to cause a shortage, to kill babies already outside the womb.

The United Nation’s plan 2030 Agenda is a “green agenda.” They want to dictate to the world that each nation must restrict their production and use of fossil fuels and the nitrates made from petroleum that are used as  fertilizers.  By attacking the fossil fuel/energy industry, the entire world can be brought to its knees.  The production of food for the world depends on fossil fuels for fertilizers.  There will be famines around the world as a result.  There is no doubt that the devil is behind this all-out effort to destroy the world’s population. Farmers in the Netherlands, France, Spain and Italy are rising up against the “Green New Deal.”  They are against the “Build Back Better” plan. They are calling it what it truly is:  “Communist Climate Control.” 

The Bible has predicted all of this.  We are drawing close to the end of the age. What we are experiencing right now, I believe are the birth pains that the Lord revealed to his disciples.  

As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?”

Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you.  For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many.  You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.  Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.  All these are the beginning of birth pains.

“Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.  At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other,  and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.  Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.  And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:1-14

So, knowing this, what are we to do?  Pray and keep on praying.  Pray for our leaders.  Pray for a fraudulant-free election this November. Pray that we elect God-fearing men and women to legislate and carry out the laws of our land. Pray that our laws align with the Bible and the US Constitution.  Pray for all 50 states to ban abortion.  Pray that the Lord’s will will be done. Pray for peace, mercy and justice.  Pray for wisdom and protection for our Supreme Court justices. Pray for the 800 people who were denied their Constitutional rights and incarcerated unjustly due to the January 6th event.  Let us pray for the demise of wicked regimes, and wicked organizations that promote disease, famine, wars, and the destruction of life and freedom.    

“First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be offered for everyone—for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness.”  

1 Timothy 2:1-2

Let us pray for our nation and our churches, because the Lord wants us, his church, to repent for our sins and to repent for the sins of our nation.

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”  2 Chronicles 7:14

Let us seek the Lord.  Let us cry out to him.  Let us study and know the word of God, for it is the sword of the Spirit!  Let us be obedient to his will and share the gospel with those who do not know him.  Let us pray for the lost and the disobedient that they repent and seek God for healing, restoration and salvation! 

“And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” Ephesians 6:18

And the Lord will respond to our prayers:

“For He says: “In the time of favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” Behold, now is the time of favor; now is the day of salvation!”  

2 Corinthians 6:2
