Overcoming the Enemy

Today I am writing about three visions that I received this past Saturday. These visions are to make us aware of how the enemy wants to keep us from accessing the power of God to overcome. And how we with God’s help can overcome the plans of the wicked one.
The Visions
The first vision: I saw a primitive drawing of a man. He was painted on a wall. He was tall and slender in physique. He had an oval-shaped head without facial features. Only a hint of musculature gave his form shape. He was standing next to another man, drawn in the same manner. Suddenly the first man came to life and began to drop down into a squat and spin very fast. He resembled an ice skater in a low spin.
In the next vision, I saw a man with a saw in his hand. He was attempting to remove a power panel or fuse box by cutting around its perimeter.
Then I saw a boy about six years old wearing a man’s heavy wool shirt or coat with a collar buttoned at the neck. The boy was “husky” ( a term used to describe a boy that was overweight). He was probably given the man’s shirt or coat because he was too large for a child’s size. The garment fit at the neck, but the sleeves and body of the shirt or coat were too long. In the vision, the boy was seen in profile. The style of coat or heavy shirt that he wore reminded me of portraits I have seen of Mao Zedong, who wore a very plain coat or jacket with a simple collar and buttoned at the neck.
What I believe these visions mean:
The Man with a Saw
The man with a saw was attempting to remove or disconnect the power panel or fuse box from the main cabinet. Years ago, I received a vision from the Lord of two men working on a communication panel, pulling cables and reinserting them into other locations on the panel. The men were dressed in black. They were constantly looking over their shoulder, hoping that no one would see what they were doing. These two men I believed were demons. They were purposefully trying to confuse communication between parties so there would be miscommunication and discord. The enemy of our souls wants to cause division, strife and raise suspicion among believers. He wants to disrupt the Lord’s plans for his church. However, we know what the Lord has said about his church: “And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.” Matthew 16:18 (Note: the rock upon which the Lord builds his church is the previous statement that Peter makes: “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Matthew 16:16)
So no matter what the enemy may try to do to stop the Lord and his church, we know that his plans will be fruitless. Even though persecution was fierce in the first two hundred years, the church prevailed and is still doing effective work for the kingdom of God today.
In the vision of the man with the saw, the meaning is similar. The man represents a demon who wants to remove the source of power we have as believers. Our power is given to us by God, because of our relationship to him as believers. Jesus said to his disciples: “And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
He has all authority and so he sends us out and gives us authority too.
“And I bestow on you a kingdom, just as my Father has bestowed one on me, so that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom, and sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.” Luke 22:29-30
He instructs us about the kingdom and how it works:
“I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” Matthew 16:19
The Lord expects us to resist the devil and his demons. We are to restrain his efforts to thwart the plans of God. We bind the demonic powers that place people in bondage. We bind the demonic powers that operate to influence people and entice them to sin. We loose angels from heaven to fight against the demonic forces, and we loose people from wrong thinking, wrong attitudes and from the bondages of sin.
The Boy with an Over-sized Coat
The young boy who wore the over-sized coat or shirt represents children and young people here in America. They have been instructed in the liberal ideologies of the left. Years ago, I could see the liberal ideals taught in the colleges, especially by the young, “hippie,” instructors. They were “far-out,” and “out of sight,” from reality as I saw life back in the early seventies. I fortunately had a Christian conservative upbringing so I was aware of how skewed to the left their view of reality was and their general lack of moral character.
The young boy in the vision represents those who have been trained in this socialist/communist ideology. He wears a large coat to represent these beliefs that he receives from teachers in public school. As the boy continues to grow in constant exposure to this belief system, he will eventually reach adulthood where the ideas will be firmly planted, forming his world view. The coat he wears for twelve plus years of CRT and the anti-American propaganda will make him a full fledged member of the left holding to its globalist agenda.
There is a reason that the vision of the boy reminded me of Mao Zedong. The coat was the same as what Chairman Mao wore. It represents the ideals of its founding father. It represents the spiritual bondage that all who embrace it will experience and live out. Communism is against Christian faith, and against personal freedoms. The citizens under this rule are slaves to the state. And without the knowledge of God, they become slaves to sin and satan.
This is not God’s plan for America. It is not God’s will that we should fall into such bondage. Jesus quoted Isaiah’s prophecy about the Messiah, speaking for himself, as the Messiah, the Christ:
“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, and to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.” Luke 4:18-19
Jesus came to set us free. It is sin that forms our chains. But it is the blood of Jesus that sets us free.
As the days grow dark, the Lord will allow his light to shine in us. So, it is imperative that we protect our children and grandchildren from the Left’s ideology and CRT. We must stand up for our rights and our Constitution. We must protect our children from the corrupted views of American history that the public schools put forth as truth. If we do not honor God, and appreciate the sacrifices that our founding fathers made and the many men who have fought for our country’s freedom, then we will lose our freedoms here in America. It is really up to each generation to “secure the blessings of liberty” for the next generation. And if we do not stand up to fight against the devil and his demons, we will lose our children spiritually to the powers of darkness and to sin. The battle is spiritual but it affects our world.
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places.” Ephesians 6:12
Before moving on to the last vision, I would like to just share the preamble to the United States Constitution. We were required to memorize this in eighth grade by law in the State of Illinois where I grew up. I am thankful that I can still recite it by memory. Please listen to the hearts of these fine men and the reasons why they created this form of self government. And before the states signed their names to this binding document, they included the Bill of Rights. Our U.S Constitution has inspired many other nations to adopt a constitution of their own.
“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”
And in another important document, The Declaration of Independence, they signed their names with this closing statement:
"We mutually pledge to each other our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor."
These honorable men chose to put their fortunes, and their lives on the line for our people to have the freedom to be a self-governing nation, free of tyrants. They dedicated our nation to the Lord, and so he has upheld and protected our liberties.
But now so many in our nation have turned their backs on God. And there is only one way to save our country from ruin. We must return to him in repentance, and ask him to heal our land.
“If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
The Primitive Drawing
In the vision, The drawing depicted a man standing with another man. He then became animated, dropping down into a deep squat. He spun on his feet as if he were an ice skater spinning on ice.
I love to worship God in dance. And when the Spirit of God and the music compel me to dance, I spin. Because of my own way of worship, I believe that the Lord is showing me what is needed is true worship. In the vision the man becomes alive. He was a dead drawing, permanently painted on a wall. But suddenly he is made alive. So in celebration of life, he drops low to the ground to show his humility, obedience and thankfulness to the Lord who has given him life. This is the born again experience. Then he begins to celebrate that life and the goodness of God by worshiping him, in the Spirit. The joy of movement and the action of spinning I believe represents the true worship of God. Unhindered, exuberant Spirit-filled worship of God is what he desires:
“But a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such as these to worship Him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” John 4:23-24
What about the other man in the vision? He was left as a painting on a wall, never coming to life. He represents those who remain fixed in their ways, unwilling to surrender to the Lord who would gladly give them life and life abundantly.
As we view these visions together
We see that the enemy, the devil, wants to destroy the spiritual power given to us by God. So in order to undermine our faith, he will lie and plant thoughts of fear, doubt and unbelief into our minds. He uses lies to cause spiritual unrest and inner turmoil. He wants the church to be in discord and dysfunction, to be locked-down and shut up. His goal is to make believers feel overwhelmed and powerless against him. He wants believers to lose heart and leave the faith. He uses temptation to entice people with the things in the world: riches, power, fame, and pleasures of all kinds.
And no wonder that the devil uses the things in the world to draw people away from God, for the world is in full agreement with him. That is why the Bible declares: “You adulterous people! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.” James 4:4
The young people of today—our children and grandchildren are at risk of succumbing to the wicked one and his plans. Many are swayed and enticed by the world and have no concern for the future or their eternal destination. They have become distracted with the worldly life, and their spirit remains dead.
We must pray, for this battle for their souls is to be fought in the heavenlies. Let us put on the full armor of God and prepare for battle. Pray without ceasing. Pray with confidence that the Lord hears our prayers! Pray in the Spirit. And WORSHIP HIM!
Worship unto the Lord is one of our most important spiritual weapons. I know I have shared this vision before, but it is worth repeating:
Worship as Spiritual Warfare
After three hours of non-stop corporate worship unto the Lord, I opened my eyes and had what I call an open vision (the supernatural imposed upon the natural so that I see both at the same time).
I saw many angels in white, seated on white horses, walking away from me in single file. On foot were demons in chains. The angels had captured these demons during our worship and were now taking them away. The single line went far into the distance, then turned to the left, taking the demons to wherever the Lord would designate. That is what worship - true worship of God accomplishes in the heavenlies.
Our worship of God is so important, for when we lift up his name, when we praise him, battles are fought and won! There is an example of this in Exodus, when Moses and his people fought the Amalekites:
“The Amalekites came and attacked the Israelites at Rephidim. Moses said to Joshua, ‘Choose some of our men and go out to fight the Amalekites. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hands.’
So Joshua fought the Amalekites as Moses had ordered, and Moses, Aaron and Hur went to the top of the hill. As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up—one on one side, one on the other—so that his hands remained steady till sunset. So Joshua overcame the Amalekite army with the sword.” Exodus 17:8-13
Moses’ arms were lifted up to God. This demonstrates the act of surrender and a show of humility towards God. His arms were also lifted in praise to God. This is worship. And the result was God’s favor--the battle was won. In the same way, when we humble ourselves before our Lord, and give him the praise that he alone deserves, he receives our prayers and our petitions, and sends his angels to fight.
“This is what the LORD says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.” 2 Chronicles 20:15
Then, when we see his victory over the enemy we have to celebrate again! So dance, sing, worship without restraint! Sing in the Spirit, pray in the Spirit, and worship in the Spirit! For there is no one like our God! We exalt the Lord our God, with a mighty shout! Hallelujah!
“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11
And one last thought - in Jesus’ words:
“I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage; I have overcome the world!” John 16:33
And because Jesus overcame and sat down at the right hand of the Father, we can also be victorious with him. “To the one who overcomes, I will grant the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my father on his throne.” Revelation 3:21
Please share this message with your family, friends and neighbors. We need to reach the lost and those who seem to have lost hope. So let’s choose to trust God for our loved ones and people everywhere to repent and be saved. Just as the man in the vision, who was nothing but a splash of paint, came to life, we pray that our loved ones’ spirits will also be made alive in Christ. Salvation is a free gift to all who are willing to come humbly before him and submit to his Lordship God is good!
