Signs of the Times

Hi Friends,

I hope all is well.  I am writing about a vision that the Lord gave me a week ago.  The Lord wants our eyes to be open to the signs of the time, and to look to him for guidance.  As I was praying for the interpretation, the Lord gave me another vision.  So I will share them both with you.

The Visions

The First Vision:

I saw a pickup truck on a small sliver of land that was bordered by a flow of lava moving just in front of the truck, and a turbulent river at the truck’s rear bumper.  The truck could not move forward or back; it was trapped between these two dangerous streams.

The Second Vision:

I saw a man kneeling within a dark cloud.  There was a 30” square hole cut through the cloud to reveal the earth below.  The man leaned forward to peer through the opening.

I believe that this second vision was given for me to understand the significance of the first.  The view from inside the cloud was unexpected.  It was like being in a dark airplane, and suddenly opening the shade to the bright light coming from the outside.  The cloud was dark, but the view of the earth was full of sunshine.  Normally, a dark cloud would cast a shadow upon the earth as it would keep the rays of light from filtering through the cloud.  But in this instance, the cloud must not have been blocking the sun’s rays, for it did not cast a shadow.  And the light upon the earth below was in full sunshine.

We generally think of darkness as things that are hidden, or obscure.  We think of darkness as representing evil, dread, and fear.  We think of it as sin and wickedness.  This man in the cloud  was surrounded by darkness, but he was interested in what was beyond.  He wanted to see the earth below and to see things as they truly are.  He needed light to be able to see.  The window cut in the cloud was perhaps God’s provision, or the answer to his prayer.  For he was kneeling to look below.  

Years ago, the Lord gave me a vision while I was praying.  I saw myself in a tiny row boat carried in the palm of God’s hand.  I was lifted up so that I could see the land around me.  I saw a landscape full of green pastures, rivers and trees.  But I could also see several round seals that were placed on the ground to mark the land.  These were seals with an image of the devil showing that he had laid claim to the ground.  I believe that the Lord took me up high so that I could see what he wanted me to do.  The mission as I saw it was to take back ground that the devil controlled.   

Across from me was another young woman who was suspended in the air at about the same height as myself, but was completely unsupported.  When the Lord’s hand lowered me to the ground, I was kept safe in the small boat.  She simply fell, for she was neither in the Lord’s hand, nor in a boat.  I believe that the woman in this vision was someone who was operating in the spirit realm, wanting to know, to understand and to see “in the Spirit.”  However, she did not have divine protection, for if we fail to submit to God’s authority, we will not have his protection.  The woman may represent those in the Church who are rebellious, not holding to the word of God. 

“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only those who do the will of my Father.”   Matthew 7:21

And “Apart from me you can do nothing.”  John 15:5

I shared this vision with you because I have prayed very often for people to be taken up high to see things from the Lord’s perspective.  From the human perspective, our eyes can be deceived, and we can fail to see what is important and what is true.  I believe that this is what these visions are all about.  

The man in the vision represents all mankind.  When a man wants to see things better, he climbs a tree to get a higher perspective.  He gets out a flashlight to put light on the topic.  He calls in experts to gain wisdom and understanding.  The man in the cloud knows he needs to cut through obscurity to see things as they truly are.  

But I must point out a few differences in these two visions.  What is in the light in one vision is in darkness in the other.  In my vision of the small boat in God’s hand the land was dark with the devil’s seals placed on the ground.  God was giving me his perspective by taking me up higher.  However, in the vision of the cloud, the cloud was dark and the earth below was in light.  The man was kneeling which is a sign of submission.  He was looking through the square opening, showing that he was seeking the light.  I believe that he is someone we might call a truth seeker.  

I think that he also represents those in our nation who are looking to find a way out of the darkness that our nation has been experiencing: lies, fears, wickedness, corruption, chaos, disorder, and injustice.  As the man looks through the window in the cloud, he sees sunlight shining on the earth below.  This represents the idea that there is still hope for our nation to return to God and his ways.  

Returning to the first vision:

We see a truck trapped on a tiny sliver of ground between a lava flow and a raging river.  I believe that there are two interpretations to this vision.

This may be seen as the first interpretation:

The truck I believe represents people, believers and non-believers alike.  The lava flow represents the idea of hell.  For it is a stream of molten rock coming from the depths of the earth.  Hell was created for the devil and his demons.  So that the lava also represents the powers of darkness:  these demonic entities are described in the Bible as  “rulers, authorities, and spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Ephesians 6:12)  

The turbulent river represents the wicked people who are throwing our nation and our world into chaos. The river also represents all the problems that have come as a result of that wickedness.  Leaders in our government have implemented policies that have created fear, division, bitterness and hatred, chaos, disrespect for law and order, the loss of jobs, and have threatened our economy.  Unrest, uncertainty, and fear are produced when the government no longer functions under its proper commission to faithfully serve its citizens.  Because of corruption and self-interest, the leaders in government act in concert with large corporations to stifle the conservative voice.  Rather than representing the people they consider themselves to be above the law.  They use their power to force people to choose between following their mandates or becoming unemployed.    

This is like choosing between two evils: burning lava or treacherous waters, or a rock and a hard place.  When we have such a dilemma, to whom do we turn?  To God Almighty!

As believers, we will face such decisions.  Today it is the medical mandate.  Tomorrow will it be the mark of the beast?  Persecution for our faith and values is just around the corner.  But what are we to do?  We must look to the Lord.  “You will keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.”  Isaiah 26:3

Jesus warned us:  “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace.  In the world you will have tribulation.  But take heart; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

Uncertainty and confusion, lies and fears surround us.  If the voice of truth is silenced and the prevailing narrative is nothing but a lie, then our opinions, decisions and conclusions will not be based on real facts.  We need discernment, wisdom and a desire to know the truth if we are to  navigate the treacherous waters of confusion.

Jesus is the answer, for he is truth:  “I am the way the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me.”  John 14:6  

“Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things that you do not know.”  Jeremiah 33:3

“Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously without finding fault.”  James 1:5

The vision of the lava and the turbulent waters has a second interpretation:

I believe that the Lord is describing the earth’s birth pains of the end times.  Jesus wanted us to know about the events and general happenings that will take place to announce the beginning of the tribulation.

As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. ‘Tell us,’ they said, ‘when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?’

Jesus answered: ‘Watch out that no one deceives you.  For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many.  You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed.  Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.  Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.  There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.  All these are the beginning of birth pains.”

Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.  At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.  Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.  And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.   Matthew 24:3-14

Initially after receiving the vision, I was reminded of all the flooding that we have seen as a result of heavy rains and hurricanes.  This year 2021 has had a record number of hurricanes.  For named storms, they not only went through the entire alphabet, they went through the entire Greek alphabet and then began a second round of names.

I am reminded of all the unbelievable happenings in China this past year 2020.  Flooding in China broke records. After holding back flood waters for a thousand years, one old dam gave way.  The largest dam in the world is in China.  The waters were so high that they had to keep the gates open to prevent the dam from breaking. The opening of the gates caused much property damage  and loss of life. 

I am reminded of all the earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanoes that have been seen in recent days and in the past months.

China since last year has been hit with very unusual weather conditions:  In July 2020, they had several hail storms which dropped hail in the shape of the corona-virus: balls of ice with spikes over all their surfaces.   Beijing and its provinces were caught off-guard with a 2’ dump of snow in the middle of July.  China’s crops were destroyed by locusts and flood waters. Grain had been previously harvested and stored in granaries, was found to be worthless having been destroyed by mold.  God’s judgment was all over this country, for not only did the corona virus plague China, but the bubonic plague was discovered in one of its provinces.

Even the Chinese attributed these horrible events to divine judgment, particularly the heavy snowfall in July with the accompanying spiked hail resembling the corona-virus.  Much of this news can be found in last year’s episodes of  “China in Focus.”

Just yesterday, I learned what has been happening in Europe with the droughts that have caused fires and deserts to form in what was formerly farmland.  Apparently, the former Soviet Union, years ago, decided to go into large scale farming, in parts of Europe under its control.  It deforested much of the land and drained one of the largest lakes in Europe to make more land available for farming.  After only a few years of farming the land became a desert.  Without lakes, there was little evaporation to create rain.  Without trees and without crop rotation, the soil became poor and the microbes in the soil died. These man-made conditions have caused an increase in the frequency and duration of these droughts.  And as a result the deserts are continuing to form and grow. 

Where there are forests, the drought has killed large areas of pine and birch trees.  These dead trees provide fuel for fires, which kill any remaining trees that had survived the drought.  

We too have had our share of forest fires here in the US.  

Around the world, there are over 50 active volcanoes.  I have been keeping up with the volcano in the Canary Islands.  Its lava flow has now reached the sea where it comes in contact with the salt water producing toxic fumes.  The people on the island have been told to stay indoors and not to leave.  But the last statement on the screen said that the eruption could last three months!  We need to pray for these people.  How will they survive such a lockdown with poisonous fumes in the air?  And for three months!

I know that what is going on will be misinterpreted as “global warming.”  This will be the next “pandemic,” or crisis that will be used to control, coerce and manipulate people.  They will not see this as God’s judgment as in the case with China, nor will they understand that these are end-time events.  For those of us who attempt to share the gospel, we will be met with resistance for the message will not support their narrative.  

China and wealthy people such as W Gates have  been buying up farmland in the US.  I don’t suppose it is for altruistic reasons, since they are known as those who want to reduce the world’s population.

Well I have said enough—it is time to pray.  Let’s take our focus off the problem, and magnify the Lord.  He wants us to know that we are living in the end times and that we need to be prepared for the days ahead.  We pray for the Lord’s protection, his guidance, and to know him more.  He will come for his bride, the Church so that we will be with him. This may happen soon as we see these signs on the earth. The Lord may come in the middle of the Tribulation or at the very end:  “At the last trumpet.”  But no matter, we keep our eyes on the Lord, trusting in him for our salvation.  

”Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed.  For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality.  When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written:

“Death is swallowed up in victory.”

“O death, where is your victory?”

“O death, where is your sting?”  1 Corinthians 15:51-55

So we remind ourselves that:  “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.  He is good and his mercies are new every morning.”  Lamentations 3:22-23 

“Some hope in chariots and others in horses.  But we trust in the name of the Lord, our God.”  Psalm 20:7 

Now is the time to seek him.  Let us be seekers of the truth, and seekers of the face of God!
