A Nation in Rebellion

Hi Friends,

Today I am writing about a vision that the Lord gave me several days ago.  This vision concerns probably one of the most important aspects of life on this planet:  Order. The devil wants to undermine everything in the world that displays God’s natural order.  The Lord gave us the Ten Commandments that we might live in order with all men and with God himself.  But the devil is called the “ruler of the age.” His idea of order is to have none of it. He is a man of destruction, and anarchy.  We see the effects that he has on our society, beginning with the family unit. What is very evident is rebellion against authority, wickedness in all sectors of society, and the lack of familial love, and love in general.  Our job is to pray and seek God on behalf of our families, friends, and nation.

The Vision

First I saw a square platform loaded with various pieces of equipment.  There were large pipes and ducts. There were several large rectangular housings for mechanical and electrical equipment.  It reminded me of a mechanical room on a ship, however there were no walls. Everything was open and exposed. The platform was like the top surface of a piston, able to rise or fall.  It was surrounded by another platform or walkway. On the main platform was a woman standing off to one side. There was also a short tubular railing about 4 feet in length and three feet in height.  It resembled an inverted U. It was placed on the corner of the platform closest to me. There was a short black curtain hanging from the railing. It had very tight sharp narrow vertical pleats, like a vertical shade.  The vision ended.

Next, I saw a small car driving recklessly fast right in front of me.  It came from my right and drove out of view towards the left. The tiny car pulled a trailer carrying a very small colorful box. The box was a perfect cube, with sides about 3 feet each.  It was painted with “happy” bright colors.

As I continued to pray I saw the number “- - -,” which I recognized immediately as the area code of a close friend and prayer partner.  The Lord has shown me this number many times when he would like the two of us to pray in agreement. This was one of those occasions.  “Again, I tell you truly that if two of you agree on earth about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by My Father in heaven.”  Matthew 18:19

Upon sharing the vision, my friend believed that it concerned a situation in her family.  It had to do with her son’s marriage. As she shared with me, I understood it to have a much broader interpretation. There has been a growing, unwholesome and selfish under current moving in our society aimed at destroying families.  It started long ago, and is based on economics and greed.

But now let me describe what I believe that the vision may represent.

The Woman on the Platform

The woman on the platform represents my friend.  The platform upon which she stands represents the values and beliefs she holds.  It represents her faith and belief in the promises of God. It represents her hope and trust in the Lord.  He is her strong tower, her refuge and the one to whom she turns when there is trouble. The ducts and pipes, and housings for the mechanical and electrical equipment represent the power of God.  The platform which can be raised or lowered supports the equipment. It is faith that moves mountains. It is our acknowledgment of God and our trust in the name of Jesus that opens doors and accomplishes much in the spiritual realm.  The platform with all its equipment can be likened to a battleship or an aircraft outfitted for war. The woman in the vision is doing nothing but standing. Yet in her standing, she is unshakable. “Resist the devil and he will flee.”   James 4:7

“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand.  Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.  In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.  And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” Ephesians 6:13-18

The woman, my friend was standing, in faith, believing God for the salvation of her family just as God instructs.

The Black Curtain

There was also on the platform a curtain.  It was black with sharp vertical pleats. The curtain did not surround the platform for it was only 4 feet in width and 3 feet in height.  It was hung on an inverted U tubular frame. I believe that the black curtain represents an access or opening between the demonic realm, and both heaven and earth.

If you remember in the story of Job, the devil had access to speak to the Lord.  The Lord gave the devil permission to interfere in Job’s life in order to test Job’s faith.  The devil destroyed Job’s children, his wealth, and upon a second visitation from the devil, was struck with disease and physical suffering.  I believed that the devil even moved upon Job’s wife to tempt him to sin. “His wife said to him ‘Are you still maintaining your integrity?  Curse God and die!’”  Job 2:9

I believe that the devil can have access into our lives and the lives of our loved ones through open doors caused by sin.  But he can also have access even when we live right before God as Job did, for the purpose of testing our faith. God wants our faith to be strong, and our faith is strengthened through adversity.  When things go wrong, we call upon the Lord who rescues, and delivers. Hallelujah!

“My brothers, count it all joy when you fall into diverse temptations, knowing that the trying of your faith develops patience.  But let patience perfect its work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”  James 1:2-4

“Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.  But rejoice insofar as you share Christ's sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you.  But let none of you suffer as a murderer or a thief or an evildoer or as a meddler. Yet if anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but let him glorify God in that name. For it is time for judgment to begin at the household of God; and if it begins with us, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?  And ‘If the righteous are scarcely saved, what will become of the ungodly and the sinner?’ Therefore let those who suffer according to God's will entrust their souls to a faithful Creator while doing good.”  1 Peter 4:12-19

“Blessed is the man who endures temptation, for when he is tried, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.”   James 1:12

Everyone of us will be tested.  The black curtain in the vision is there to show us that the devil will come to tempt us, or to play havoc in our lives simply because he has access.  As I mentioned before he is called “the ruler of the age,” for we live in a fallen world. Yet the Lord assures us: “I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace.  In this world you will have trouble. But take heart, for I have overcome the world.”  John 16:330

The Small Car with the Box

The small car represents my friend’s daughter-in-law who wants to escape the realities and responsibilities of motherhood and marriage.  Her heart is for the world with its pleasures and all it has to offer. These are her words: “I’ll find someone to take care of me, the way I want to be taken care of.”  She is looking to divorce her husband. Little does she realize that her life will become more difficult on her own rather than the carefree idyllic life she imagines.

The tiny colorful box, represents all her treasures.  It includes her dreams of being a success in her own eyes: being the wife of a wealthy man with servants and nannies, who busy themselves with taking care of the house, doing the shopping, and tending to the needs of the children.  Her dreams include having her own place, her own bank account, her own car, her own..….. She takes no pleasure in serving others, not even in helping her own children or her husband. She takes no delight in giving, but only in receiving.

In the vision, the car sped along in front of me, coming from the right and going to the left.  In the visions I receive from the Lord, direction is important. It means that she is leaving the right way, leaving her family, to go to the left, representing the way of the world.  “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.” Proverbs 14:12

After our conversation and prayer, I continued to seek God for further instruction as to the meaning of the vision.  The Lord answered with yet another vision:

An Airplane

I saw an airplane in the air, but superimposed upon it were various faint images that somewhat clouded the view of the plane.  I understood this to mean that the airplane was there to take me higher to understand the vision from God’s perspective. The faint images that clouded the view of the airplane represented distractions, thoughts, commitments, and preconceived notions that were getting in the way of understanding.  So I believed that God was calling me to pray more about the vision.

Now almost ten days have passed, and I am now writing about the vision as it concerns the nation.  There is a greater scope than just one couple’s marriage woes.

The World View

There are those who do not see or appreciate the world from the Lord’s point of view, but have aligned themselves with the here and now and the devil’s viewpoint.  From the world’s view of things, there are resources that are finite. There is time that is finite. There are worlds to conquer, and victories to be won. The world can be condensed into material possessions, and control over people.  The world seeks pleasure and the avoidance of pain. The world scrambles to control and take ownership of the world’s “cookies.” The world’s idea of success is this: “He who dies with the most toys wins.” What a shame!

Our society, “the world view,” undermines the family unit.  Dysfunction, strife and division are seeds that are sown by the enemy to break up marriages.  The family unit is the smallest but most important social group, because it is where respect for authority, and the establishment of order are first implemented.  The family is where a child begins to develop the idea of personal boundaries, and obedience to laws and rules. As a child grows, he experiences discipline, and learns the art of self control in a safe and loving environment.

Society prospers when its members have respect for authority, obey its laws, and contribute to the well-being of the whole.  The outcome of a well ordered society can be peace and harmony. In a free-society the individual can make his own choices. He can choose his leaders, his vocation and his pastimes, where he lives and how he lives.  In a society like American, through hard work and determination, a person can become successful in whatever endeavor he chooses. Our society works when the family unit is strong and when children are nurtured and groomed to be all they can be.

However we have an enemy that is against everything in God’s creation.  He is against everything that God loves. Our enemy is of course the devil.  Jesus referred to the devil as “the thief”:  “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill and to destroy.  I have come that they may have life and that they may have it more abundantly.”  John 10:10

In the book of Daniel, there is a man who is the very embodiment of the devil: the Antichrist, also known as “the man of lawlessness.”  He, as is the devil, is against all order; he is a man of anarchy. The spirit of the Antichrist is the spirit of this age. When we see the breakdown of families, we also see a lack of respect for authority.  Even members of Congress and the various states are in rebellion against the office of the president and ignore federal law. We see crime ignored, and sometimes condoned. We see catch and release policies in place.  We see people showing utter disdain for the police in various communities. We see a lack of personal responsibility, and the fabrication of lies to mislead the public. There is no doubt that we are living in the last days.

It is very apparent that our country is polarized.  We can easily see the effects of the spiritual realm upon the earth.  “Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God.  This is the spirit of the Antichrist which you have heard is coming and even now is in the world.”  1 John 4:2-3

The spirit of the Antichrist is the spirit that comes against god-fearing men and women, against those who hold fast to Biblical truths and godly values.  We who believe that marriage is defined as a covenant with God between one man and one woman, and who also believe that a fetus is not merely human tissue, but a child created at conception, are held in contempt by those who declared that what is good is bad and what is bad is good.  Their moral compass is broken. “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.”  Isaiah 5:20

“For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened.  Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man, birds, animals and reptiles.  Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator--who is forever praised.”  Romans 1:21-25

The Spirit of this age, the spirit of the Antichrist, is manifesting in all arenas of life:  music, entertainment, the drug culture, through drinking, gambling, human trafficking, sexual immorality, child abuse, abortion, violence, corruption in government, sex offenders in the church, rebellion, anarchy and the promotion of lies and propaganda in the mainstream media.

We are no better than Sodom and Gomorrah.  Our society is struggling to hold together.  Division is the norm. People think nothing of using profanity, everything that was once black and white, are now shades of grey.  Truth is no longer seen as an absolute, but it is what one declares it to be. Truth varies from one individual to another. It is subjective not absolute.

What I see in our culture is a shift away from the traditional family which gives a child the stability and nurture he needs, to a broken home which brings anxiety and emotional problems.  I use the term “broken” because the effects of a broken home are devastating to our society. Children are shuffled back and forth from one house to another week in and out. They are used as pawns as parents fight for control and fight over money.  The suicide rate among children is increasing. Girls are becoming promiscuous at earlier and earlier ages. Abortion is murder. There are many women and young girls living in shame and guilt over killing their own babies. The more the women activists shout, “It is our choice!”  The more their hearts become dead and their souls turn black.  “Jesus said, ‘Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.’”  Luke 23:34

There are many in our society that benefit by keeping our young women in the workplace and away from their own children.  How do they benefit? Women in the workforce are reliable and generally work hard for less pay. In general this makes our country more prosperous, therefore those in power also prosper.  There has been a concerted push to separate women from their children as early as possible. In my mother’s day, they were taught that breast feeding was old fashioned and there was a general sense of shame towards anyone who did so. They were told that the formulas were good for their babies, and that bottle feeding would allow someone else to feed their children and so they could return to work. They want women to feel “unfulfilled,” as mothers.  They were told by society that unless they had a college degree and a full time job, they were not doing their fair share. Women now feel the need to prove their own worth by working outside the home. All this to impress others, to buy more “stuff,” —-and all to the detriment of their own children.

For a time, I believed that I was valued only for the plaques and certificates on the wall, and for my personal accomplishments.  Even though I worked from home, I worked 60 hours a week, by working through the night two days a week. But the Lord interrupted me. He saved me and filled me with his Holy Spirit!

I am so grateful to the Lord, for he told me to give up my design business and simply stay home with my children.  Hallelujah!

After giving up my business, six months later, he told me to give up my Masters degree.  I was only a few courses away from completion, but I gave it up, nonetheless. Another six months went by and we moved to the east coast.  He then asked me to give up my plans to start an exercise ministry, which I had had in Illinois. Then after I gave up the idea, the Lord allowed me to begin again!

Even after all this, I was tempted to take on more commitments until He spoke these profound words to me one day: “I don’t want you to do.  I want you to be.”

“To be,” means to be his. “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; You were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

The Lord wanted me to continue home-schooling my three children, so I concentrated on teaching and prayer.  I have come to believe that the Lord’s way is always best. And when we follow the Lord’s directions, we can live with no regrets.  He always makes a way!

In Conclusion

We have to rethink our decisions as a nation.  We need to return to the Lord. We cannot afford to continue on the path that our nation has chosen.  Too many children are lost to drugs, and suicide. Violence, corruption and rebellion mark our society.  We need a revival. Come Lord Jesus!

Please, I am asking you to share this with others.  I am trying to be faithful and write as I believe the Lord instructs, but I need help getting the message to others.  So please share with just one or two other people, or perhaps you might re-post this message. We need more people to seek God on behalf of our nation. God Bless America!  And God Bless You!
