Choose Life
Hi Friends,
Merry Christmas! I am writing today about a vision that was one of seven given within minutes of each other. They all fit together, and give a single message. I had written last time about the first vision as it stood alone, but I must include it now so that it can be seen with the other six parts to understand the full meaning. Before writing, I again prayed and the Lord showed me yet another piece which you will see is a prophetic victory.
This is a serious vision about the Lord’s anger focused on a particular sin, which involves all of us. We are a land governed by the people and for the people, so that any sin that is accommodated by our laws becomes our shame. God is calling for a change. The vision speaks of God’s plan to restore all those who through godly sorrow come to repentance.
At Christmas time, the world rejoices over the birth of our Savior. The name Jesus means savior. Isn’t this why Jesus came to this earth—to live as a man and overcome sin and death? He came to atone for our sin, so that we through faith in him, become the righteousness of God. Isn’t this really why we should be celebrating Christmas?
“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6
A Seven Plus One Part Vision:
A Hand and a Computer
First I saw a 3D neon green line drawing of a computer. It was placed on the palm of a hand. The hand began to close over the 3D computer. As the hand began to exert force upon the model, each of the individual lines forming the computer, broke apart. Like a shattering, or explosion, each of the neon green line segments flew in all directions.
A Young Boy
I saw a young boy about 7 or 8 years old, from the shoulders up. He had long dark brown hair that was extremely messy.
Black Beans and a Gadget
Next I saw a small amount of black beans scattered on a surface. There were also black beans piled onto a small metal gadget. I saw a hand pick up the scattered beans one at a time and add them to the pile on the gadget.
A Blanket
Then I saw myself and one other person to my right sitting under a blanket. I cannot see the person’s face, or tell whether the person is male or female.
A Dog
Next I saw a fairly large dog come up to me as I was sitting on the floor. He came close to my face, which caused me to turn my head to avoid him.
An Egg and a Ballpoint Pen
Then I saw one half of a hard boiled egg sitting on a surface. A hand with a red pen drew a circle upon the cooked egg white. The circle was about the size of a dime.
A Shirt
Finally, I saw a long sleeve sweatshirt that was turned inside out. I then saw It being turned right side out.
A Child
A week after receiving these visions, while praying to understand their meaning, I received another vision. I saw a child probably between 18 months to 2 years old standing with his arms raised overhead. He held a red pen in his right hand.
The meaning of the Vision:
These visions occurred in the order above, but to explain their meaning, I would like to start with the most critical piece first. The vision of the egg and the ballpoint pen is at the heart of the message. Let me explain what I believe it means.
The Egg
An egg represents life. If a hen’s egg is fertilized and incubated properly, then what should hatch from the egg would be a baby chick. In the vision, the egg was cooked, and cut in half. The life that could have been was destroyed. The egg was cut in half and turned upside down, concealing the yoke. What was done to the yolk, was hidden.
This vision speaks of the sin of abortion. A child while still hidden in its mother’s womb is cut down, and destroyed.
In the vision, the cooked egg white was marked with a red circle drawn by a hand holding the pen. When we see a circle that is drawn with a line passing through it, we all agree that it means “zero” or it represents the idea of “nothing. In this case there is no line through the circle, so it cannot mean “nothing,” it must mean “something.”
Red ink is usually saved for making corrections. A teacher points out to the student something that needs to be changed or corrected by circling the error in red.
I believe the hand in the vision is God’s hand. He holds the red pen, and circles what needs to be changed or corrected. He is demanding a change to be made in our hearts, and in our laws, that have allowed abortion.
The Computer
To see this vision from God’s perspective, we look at the first vision of the hand holding the 3 D image (line drawing) of a computer. The computer sits in the hand, and then the hand closes upon the 3 D drawing, to crush it completely. All the lines break apart under the stress. This action is one showing anger or rage. The intention is to crush and completely destroy it. God is angry with our nation for failing to uphold one of God’s most basic laws: Thou shalt not murder. In the eyes of the Lord, we do not have the right to kill our children.
“Keep my commandments and live; guard my teachings as the apple of your eye. Tie them to your fingers, write them on the tablet of your heart.” Proverbs &:2-3
In high school, years ago, we quoted this commonly held belief: “My freedom and rights end, where they infringe upon the freedom and rights of another person.” In our culture today, the mother has the right to infringe upon the child’s right to life. Something is wrong here. God is angry, and he wants change.
Why did God select a computer as the subject of the line drawing to be destroyed? If you read the last post, “Pride and Independence,” you will see that the computer is a symbol of man’s accomplishments and his pride. In that post, the meaning is revealed more fully.
Abortion is an act of defiance. It opposes God’s design for human life. When we willfully choose to break God’s law, or when we think that our ways are better than his, we are declaring our independence from him. It is the epitome of pride and arrogance to exalt oneself and one’s values over God’s. Some declare: “It is my body and I will do with it as I choose.” but it is wise to remember : “God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble.” It is not a good idea to oppose God.
The Young Boy
This part of the vision shows the young boy whose hair is long and unkempt. The hair represents the idea of neglect. Either the young boy doesn’t know how, or was never trained to take care of his own hair. The parents are neglecting their job to care for their child and see that he is given a haircut at the appropriate time. The word neglect indicates that something important was overlooked, and given no heed by that individual. We must ask ourselves, are we doing all that we can do to support change in the current legal status of abortion? Are we neglecting to do what God is showing us to do?
The Black Beans and Gadget
The third part of the vision shows that there were black beans scattered on a flat surface. One by one the beans were picked up and placed on top of a small device. As I studied the vision, I thought of the action of counting. Accountants are sometimes (in jest) referred to as “bean counters.” The small metal device in the vision was about 2” x 2” x 1” — small enough to fit into the palm of a hand. Then suddenly I put the two together. I combined the idea of counting with a hand held device, and remembered seeing the greeters at Costco using a palm size counter to keep a running total of the members coming in to shop. So this part of the vision is about counting and weighing the numbers.
Jesus gives several parables about accounting, money and the cost of discipleship. But it was the Lord’s message to Haggai that first came to mind: “This is what the Lord Almighty says: ‘Give careful thought to your ways. Go up into the mountains and bring down timber and build my house, so that I may take pleasure in it and be honored,’ says the Lord. You expected much, but see, it turned out to be little. What you brought home, I blew away. Why?’ declares the Lord Almighty. ‘Because of my house, which remains a ruin, while each of you is busy with your own house. Therefore, because of you the heavens have withheld their dew and the earth its crops. I called for a drought on the fields and the mountains, on the grain, the new wine, the olive oil and everything else the ground produces, on people and livestock, and on all the labor of your hands.’”
“Then Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, Joshua son of Jozadak, the high priest, and the whole remnant of the people obeyed the voice of the Lord their God and the message of the prophet Haggai, because the Lord their God had sent him. And the people feared the Lord. Then Haggai, the Lord’s messenger, gave this message of the Lord to the people: ‘I am with you,’ declares the Lord.” Haggai 1:7-13
In the passage above, the Lord was angry with the people who chose to build and furnish their own homes with the fine lumber that the king had provided for the construction and finishing of the temple of the Lord. By their actions, they revealed their true priorities: their private homes were more important to them than the rebuilding of the Lord’s house.
By this Biblical and historical account of the rebuilding of the temple, we are able to draw a parallel to our own priorities. Aren’t we more concerned for our own well-being than the well-being of those who cannot defend themselves? Aren’t we neglecting the more important matter of ending the slaughter of thousands of infants in our nation every year? The laws in our nation are so pro-abortion that they even deny parents their right to know in advance that their daughter is considering abortion. Our children can have an abortion without our knowledge or consent! Whatever happened to parental rights?
According to WHO, every year in the world there are an estimated 40-50 million abortions. This corresponds to approximately 125,000 abortions per day.

Our nation is so big and our lives are so full, that we simply throw up our hands and say, “It is too much for me!” And we do nothing. The Lord says to us, “Give careful thought to your ways.” As the Lord withheld rain, from Israel, we must recognize that the Lord is still attempting to get our attention through similar means. In the last 15-20 years, we have experienced one natural disaster after another. Many people want to blame it on “global warming.” But I believe that the insurance companies are right in calling them “acts of God.”
Remember 2 Chronicles 7:14 “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven. I will forgive their sin and heal their land.”
Let us also pray that the Supreme Court will reverse Roe vs Wade.
The Blanket
In the next part of the vision, I was sitting on the floor with a blanket over my head. There was another person sitting with his back toward me, under the same blanket. This person hid his or her face from me. I believe this represents shame.
I have often asked the Lord to hide me. My desire to hide from others comes from my thoughts of embarrassment or condemnation. After being very bold in worship or in prayer, my thoughts will turn against me and I will become overly critical of myself, imagining that I looked stupid, or that others were offended by my zeal. I know that I need to take these thoughts captive, because they are not actually my thoughts, but those that come from the wicked one. For he wants to stop worship and prayer at any cost.
But because of these thoughts I want to hide. I want to go somewhere, where no one else will find me. I believe that the person next to me in the vision is also hiding. This person represents those who have either had an abortion or who have in some way participated in convincing someone to have an abortion. This person hides his or her face from me because of guilt and shame, or fear of having his or her sin exposed.
The Lord has made a way for the shame and guilt to be removed. His death paid for our sins. But we must acknowledge our sin and ask for forgiveness. When we openly and sincerely confess our sin to the Lord, he lifts the heavy weight of that sin off us. “He has removed our sins as far from us as the east is from the west.” Psalm 103:12
“For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more.” Hebrews 8:12
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
What a wonderful God we serve. He forgives our sins and redeems our lives!
The Dog
In the vision, the dog came up to me as I was sitting on the floor. He came uncomfortably close to my face, causing me to turn my head. (I really hate being licked, especially in the face.) The idea of turning my head away from the dog, reminded me of this passage written 700 years before Jesus was born:
“He was despised and rejected by men, a man of sorrows, acquainted with grief. Like one from whom men hide their faces. He was despised, and we esteemed Him not.” Isaiah 53:3
Men hide their faces in shame, when they know that someone sees the truth and judges the motives of their hearts. Do you remember the story of the woman caught in the act of adultery? Do you remember how Jesus confronted her accusers by reminding them of their own sin? They suddenly felt shame. They dropped their stones, and walked away. “Let him who is without sin, among you be the first to cast a stone at her.” John 8:7
When we see the effects of sin in the lives of others, we should not condemn them. Many of these people are already deeply wounded. Rather than throwing stones, we should help them to be reconciled to the Lord through repentance. The Lord came to seek and save the lost. These people need to experience the Lord’s forgiveness.
When a person’s heart feels great sorrow over sin, and he asks the Lord to forgive him, the guilt and shame is removed, and the opportunity to live a new life begins. As he is filled with the Holy Spirit, and continues to seek the Lord, the emotional wounds are healed and he begins to experience true freedom. “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold all things have become new!” 2 Corinthians 5:17
The Shirt
I saw a shirt that was inside out, being turned, so that the right side was facing out. The action of turning the right side out is about righting a wrong. It represents the Lord’s ability to bring correction. He is a good father, and wants to see everyone come to repentance. He wants none to be lost in sin and self degradation. He turns the wrong side to the right side. What was bad he can make into something good. The Lord brings complete restoration and healing to those who repent, turn away from sin, and choose to follow him.
The Toddler
This vision came as I was seeking the Lord for the interpretation to the seven part vision. I saw a tiny child about 18 months to two years old with his arms raised over his head. In his right hand he held a red pen.
The toddler, I believe, represents the little ones whose lives will be saved when the laws of our land align with the Lord’s laws. The child’s arms are raised high in praise to God, for the future victory in the battle for the right to life. In the earlier vision of a hand drawing a red circle on the egg white, indicated that a change or correction must be made. The red pen, now in the child’s raised hand, shows that there will be victory when the change to end abortion is finally made.
The Process of Change
Today, abortion is legal in our land. How can we effect a change? There are things that we do in the natural, like supporting conservative legal groups who fight these battles before the Supreme Court. But we must see that our strategies are also spiritual. We as Christians are to declare those things that are not, as though they were! There is power in our words of declaration. This power is sourced and made manifest in the mighty name of Jesus.
We declare what our natural eyes do not see, but what the eyes of faith can see. So we declare, “In the Name of Jesus, abortion is no more! In the name of Jesus, the laws of our nation will reflect the Lord’s perfect will, his grace and his mercy! In the mighty and holy name of Jesus, our children will not die, but live and declare the wonders of the Lord! Hallelujah! Praise his holy name!”
God is pleased when we speak to the mountains in our lives. “Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that what he says will come to pass, it will be done for him.” Mark 11:23
And God is pleased when we seek him on behalf of others. So let us pray for those who are hurting and those who need healing and forgiveness. Let us help others to make peace with God. “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.” Matthew 5:9
Let us hold fast to the Lord. He will return for his bride, the church. We must be faithful to do all that he commands! “If you love me, you will keep my commandments!” John 14:15
“This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.” Deuteronomy 30:19
