The Wall Switch

Hi Friends,

I hope you are all having a wonderful Christmas.  I thought it would be best to share a vision with you that is all alone.  I understand that my posts are a bit long, and perhaps too much to absorb in one sitting, since the visions may cover more than one topic.  So I will try to write more often covering a single topic at a time.

The vision I am sharing with you came last week.  It is about power and authority in Christ.

This is the vision:

I saw something like a wave at the beach.  If you have ever walked along the beach, and watched the waves come in, the movement is very rhythmical.  Occasionally, the wave will bring up an object like a seashell, depositing it on the sand. This is what happened in the vision.  A wave came up onto the shore, and as the water receded, it left a wall switch. There were two short wires protruding from its base.  The face of the switch had a flat rectangular toggle which could turn something on or off. It was not a slide, or a dimmer switch, just a two way switch.

I believe that God was showing me that we are like switches.  Our thoughts can be thoughts of faith, or thoughts of doubt. We can be people of action, and we can be people who are fearful and do nothing.  How we see circumstances, our personal abilities, and the faith we place in God, makes all the difference in the outcomes of our trials.

We need power to function.  The two wires at the base were unattached.  Without God, we have no power. Jesus said, “I am the vine and you are the branches. The one who remains in me, and I in him, will bear much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing.” John 15:5

“Whoever believes in me will also do the works that I am doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.” John 14:12

What the Lord wants us to know is that we must remain in him, if we are to be fruitful, or effective in his kingdom.  If we want see the kingdom of God, and miracles in the lives of those for whom we pray, we must believe and not doubt. Faith and a genuine connection with God is essential.

Jesus said, that the kingdom should be preached with signs and wonders.  “He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation,  Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.  And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on the sick, and they will recover.  Mark 16:15-18

The Apostle Paul explained, “My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit’s power, so that your faith might not rest on human wisdom, but on God’s power.”  1 Corinthians 2:4-5

It seems that something is missing or lacking in the American church. If signs and wonders are not accompanying the preaching of the gospel, something is not right.  Why does the Church seem powerless? Why are miracles so uncommon, when we hear of things that are happening in other parts of the world?

Are we lacking in faith? Do we lack spiritual authority?

When the disciples tried to cast out a demon, they were unable.  Why? “He replied, ‘Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there.’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.”  Matthew 17:20

If Jesus said, “Greater things will you do because I go to the Father.”  John 14:12 We must believe that his declaration did not apply to just a few, but to all believers.

From personal experience, I can say that when the Lord wants me to pray for healing, I can feel the boldness of the Holy Spirit and faith rise up powerfully within me.  The Holy Spirit speaks through me to declare what he wants to bring forth. When I participate in the declaration, my spirit is convinced of the truth. Revelation comes to me so that I believe that what I am declaring is happening.  The supernatural affects the natural. Suddenly, I KNOW that something has changed.

I am no different than anyone else, because there are times, when it seems there is no anointing for healing, and nothing happens. But God asks us to persist in faith, and expect his anointing to heal.

As an example of God’s anointing, several years ago, there were three of us who decided to come to church and pray from 10:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. for thirty days.  On the very first night, one of us, who worked as a nanny, came in with a concern. Her employer was pregnant, and she was just told earlier that day, that her baby was to be born with “Downs syndrome.”  At the moment she mentioned, Downs syndrome, the Spirit of God rose in me, and said, “No - Not in the Name of Jesus!” Immediately prayer and declarations came forth. And when we finished praying, I told her, “Speak to this woman and tell her that her baby is okay.  Get a second opinion and test again, because that baby is normal!”

She came back the next night for prayer, and told us that her employer did go to see a doctor, and that the second test came back normal!” Hallelujah!  After the baby was born, my friend invited the woman to church. She brought her baby, and I got to hold him. He was perfect! Hallelujah!

In this case, and in others like it, the faith that comes is supernatural.  I didn’t do anything but simply allow the Holy Spirit to move in me. I think that what is needed in the church is simply people spending more time with the Lord, and choosing to believe him for miracles.  There is nothing special about me - I think God will use anyone who will submit himself to his leading.

Years ago, the Lord gave me a similar vision to the wall switch.  I saw an outlet adapter, that accommodated four additional electrical plugs.  I saw the outlet adapter on the ground, spinning around and around, like a dog chasing his tail.  I believed at the time, that God was saying that I needed to focus on him, and get plugged into his power so that others could plug in too.  Each of us learns by following an example. Paul said, “Follow me as I follow Christ.” 1 Corinthians 11:1 If I had to be plugged into the power source to be effective in his kingdom, then it is true for all of us.  We all need to be connected to him to move in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Just moments after receiving the vision of the outlet adapter, I received a second vision:  I saw a mountain moving towards a body of water. The mountain tipped 45 degrees, and sank. It looked just like the Titanic which sank in the ocean.  This message could not possibly be more obvious! The mountain that I was praying for at the time, could be moved, but it required me to stop spinning around or chasing my tail. I had to get focused and connected to God.

The recent vision of the wall switch with its two position toggle, is instructional. The two short wires, show the need to be connected to the Lord’s power, just as the outlet adapter needed to be plugged in.

The two position toggle shows us that, not only do we need to be connected, but we must also turn on the Holy Spirit’s power by faith and declaration.

If we lack sufficient faith, we allow doubt to gain the upper hand, or we fail to make the declarations which move mountains, then the toggle remains in the off position. No power will be available.

One of the ways our faith is released, and his power flows through us is with declaration.  We are to follow the Lord’s example. We declare those things that are not as though they were. God spoke “Let there be light” and the sun was created. (Genesis 1:3)

“The God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not.”   Romans 4:17

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue.”  Proverbs 18:21 When we make declarations, we can curse the things we wish to die, like cancer and disease.  When we declare, we can bless the things we wish to live and flourish, like healthy normal cells, strong bodies, sound  minds, and healthy relationships. We can declare with faith, and command in the name of Jesus, that the obstacles that hinder the work of God are removed, destroyed, made ineffective, null and void. When we are in agreement with the Holy Spirit and with one another, we can command in the name of Jesus for the power of God to be made manifest.

We declare: “Cancer, shrivel up and die -  in the name of Jesus!”

We declare: “Eyes, be healed, be opened - in the name of Jesus!”

“Pain, go now! in the name of Jesus!”

“________, you are healed in the name of Jesus!”

The words we choose are important. They should be specific, and clear commands. We use scriptures which are the very words of God because:  “The Lord said to me, ‘You have seen correctly, for I am watching over my word to perform it.’”  Jeremiah 1:12

“By his stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5

“He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart.” 1 Corinthians 4:5 So we declare: “Whatever is hidden in darkness, be brought to the light.”

“If two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven.  For where two or three gather together in my name, there am I in their midst.” Matthew 18:19-20

So we declare: Lord we are in agreement with your word that says__________”

These declarations speak life into our situations. God wants us to be volunteers of his power. All we have to do is be available. Be humble, it is not our power, but the Lord’s. Let the Lord be magnified through our prayers, and through the signs and wonders that he alone creates!

I encourage you to get really connected to God, and stay connected through prayer, fasting, reading the word, being in fellowship with Him and other believers, submit to the authority of God and to be obedient to all that he commands. Make yourself available to the Lord, for what he wants to accomplish.

I hope you are encouraged to pray, trust in God, and expect miracles.

God bless you - pass this along to a friend! Thanks!
