Behold, I am Coming Soon!
I was praying earlier today to hear from God. What did he want me to write about? Was there something pressing on his heart? I opened my Bible to have him select a scripture that described the vision I was to share. I opened to the very last portion of scripture in the Bible: "Behold I am coming soon!" Revelations 22:12
I read it in its entirety, and then began to pray again. This is the vision I want to share with you. It was give to me April 29, 2010.
I saw a book with a zippered cover, a Bible, falling through the water in a sweeping motion and landing on the sandy bottom of a body of water, perhaps the ocean. I was praying for a "rhema" word from God. I believe, he was telling me that I needed to go deep in the spirit with God, to hear and understand his message.
Then a few moments later, the second portion of the vision came. I saw two people in a fetal position sleeping facing a wall, but still under the water. They were close to where I saw the Bible resting on the ocean floor.
This place of rest is where we can meet with God: a place that is deep in his presence, a place where we seek only him - not his hands, for what he can give us - but his voice, what he can speak to us. This is a place where we are still, free from the anxieties of the day. This is a place of trust and a place of listening.
Just a few days later, I received this vision:
I saw the lower half of a woman lying down as if ready to give birth. There was another woman with her. This woman, a midwife, used her hands to open up the birth canal, to see the baby inside. The vision changes with the midwife no longer present. Now I found myself looking directly into the opening, which was fully open, and large enough to give birth to a child. Yet, there was no baby, only a dark empty opening.
I asked God to show me what this vision meant. What was to be birthed? And why there did it not appear to be a child? I thought to myself, Was I praying for someone to receive a baby? I asked him to show me a passage in the Bible which would give me understanding. As I opened the Bible, my eyes fell upon this scripture: "When they lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only. Now as they came down from the mountain, Jesus commanded them saying, 'Tell the vision to no one until the Son of Man is risen from the dead.'" Matthew 17:8
I believe this vision is about Jesus' return - and that return being imminent. Mary gave birth to a child. This was the Lord's first bodily visitation - "Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: the virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel." Isaiah 7:14
"Immanuel" means "God with us." The Lord came in the flesh.
Now we are expecting his second coming. The Lord will come from heaven, but not as he had done before: "After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight."
"They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. 'Men of Galilee,' they said, 'Why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.'" Acts 1:9-11
The midwife in the vision is the Church. We, the church, are waiting for his return - but not yet seeing anything. In the first words of the passage, I had read, it said,"When they lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only." God is telling us to keep our eyes looking up in eager anticipation, because HE IS COMING! When we lift up our eyes we will see no one but Jesus!
The open birth canal was empty. Just as there was an empty tomb, the Lord left that which could not hold him. He was raised from the dead, and ascended into heaven, where he will come again. He will not return through the womb, but will return with his angels and the whole host heaven as it states in the scripture: "For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever." 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17
So we cannot focus on the natural world around us, because it is passing away. We must see in the Spirit. We need to get ready - to be prepared for his return.
I believe it is soon, because has has already spoken to me that time is running out. He has shown me that the anti-christ will soon be revealed, and the the rapture and the tribulation are all in our future.
We always keep in mind that "No one knows the day or hour." but as I have said before, this may happen in our lifetime. This is the full passage: "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come. It's like a man going away: He leaves his house and puts his servants in charge, each with his assigned task, and tells the one at the door to keep watch."
"Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the owner of the house will come back - whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn. If he comes suddenly, do not let him find you sleeping. What I say to you, I say to everyone: 'Watch!'" Mark 13:32-37
So I want to share the last portion of the scripture God was showing me, because it is a sober message, one that everyone needs to know and keep foremost in our hearts.
"'Behold , I am coming soon! My reward is with me, and I will give to everyone according to what he has done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Blessed area those who wash their robes, that they may have the right to the tree of life and may go through the gates into the city. Outside are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.'"
"'I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the churches. I am the Root and the offspring of David, and the bright and Morning Star.'"
"The Spirit and the bride say, 'Come!' And let him who hears say, 'Come!' whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes, let him take the free gift of the water of life."
"I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away from this book of prophecy, God will take away from him his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book."
"He who testifies to these things says, 'Yes, I am coming soon.'"
"Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God's people. Amen." Revelations 22:12-21
What seems amazing to me is God's timing in his messages. Today is August 21, 2017. Today was the solar Eclipse that only comes every 99 years. It seems amazing to me that on the day that I share this vision, about looking up, in expectation for the Lord's return, it happens to be the day that everyone is literally looking up. Everyone across America was looking up into the sky. They each had to use their special glasses in order to protect their eyes from the sun. Yet when the Lord returns, everyone will look up to see the Son! We will not need special glasses to see, but it will be something that brings joy to some and dread to others:
"Look, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, even those who pierced him; and all the peoples of the earth will mourn because of him. So shall it be! Amen. Revelations 1:7
